Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): I tend to play a variety of characters, I've got a long history of tabletop roleplaying in addition to various forms of online roleplaying across all levels of investment. For space station my characters tends towards more comical characters with less depth mainly due to how most servers are formated and the general goofy vibe of the game lends itself well towards that style of play. However the character I'm most proud of is the character Rhaun from HRP server Cosmatic Drift that I've played on and off for a while.
Rhaun is a Vulp in his late thirties with a very unkempt appearance, years of abuse on his body visible in the mattness of his fur and hair. Rhaun initially started as a deeply apathetic and avoidant person who was struggling to keep down a job, but seemingly took great pride in being a spacer and working the cargo-line for NT. A bit of a wallflower he'd slowly observe the rest of the cast of the server, and end up gossiping about life and the like, usually dropping tidbits of his own storied yet mostly misfortunate history into conversations. Ultimately the character spiraled after a few violent incidents on the station which left him in doubt about his own spiritual place in the world and left him heartbroken. The character themes revolved a lot about duty and life-purpose as central themes as well as trying to approach a character that purposefully painted themselves to be an outsider, while desperately longing for genuine connections.
What made you join Funky Station?: I've been aware of Funky for some time, watching videos from various Funky creators has been the main source of my knowledge of Funky. I've heard mostly good things from other Funky players as well, a lot of the regulars on Cosmatic came from Funky while I myself have mostly played on Goob until now. In Goob rounds I tend to try and edge towards better roleplay and shared good experiences where I can, and I've got a feeling that the culture on Funky is more receptive for that kind of approach.
