Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Since I recently started SS14, I don't exactly have a preference yet. I played and GMed a lot of tabletop RPGs, so there are quite a few to choose from. I like playing a lot of different characters, but most of them tend to be somewhat rational. I also like to play with expectations and add an unexpected spin: One interesting example is an NPC I played in Nobilis:

Mirun the goddess of Fear and Pain.
Now, when you hear that name, I'm sure you picture someone scary, menacing, maybe even sadistic. Intuition can drive you astray though. You see, pain and fear are no there to control or to cause harm. They exist to serve as a warning and to give you time to heal.
She usually shows up as a small girl -- rarely older than 14 -- in a plain white dress. She is somewhat shy with a great deal of empathy and a heart of gold. As such, she is one of the few gods who's reluctant to use her powers to their full extent. It is important not to mistake reluctance to a lack of ability though. She absolutely can: for your benefit, to protect her friends or for the common good. She will most likely apologize while you are on the floor in agony.
Most of the time she is not as dramatic though. One of her pastimes is visiting hospitals and ensuring that patients who require serious medical assistance don't go home too early. Most of the time a heartfelt talk does the job, but there are always the stubborn ones...
What made you join Funky Station?:
After mentioning to someone (SuperDicq) that players on the open servers tend to not respect the roleplaying rules that much, I was recommended to try out FunkyStation.
Also, Cirno is in the banner and the servers are named based on Touhou characters, so I'm sure I would have fun here.
