Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Cynthia Cyrus used to be a superhero known as the Chromatone Conductor in her younger years with a mutation that granted her psionic powers able to scramble people's senses. Now that she's in her forties, however, she's trying to pursue her true passion of painting in full earnest -- in her words, she's making up for time that she'd lost to her stint of being stuck in the mutant-to-do-gooder industrial complex and would prefer that people not reduce her to just her powers. In those days when she donned her old cape and tights, she tried to hide her own skittish cowardice behind a breezy sense of humor and nervous laughter, but now that she currently lives as her genuine unmasked self, she's more unrestrained and vivacious, eager to give anyone she meets an impromptu lesson on historic art movements with a wide grin on her face.
