Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):I've spent a lot of years playing DND and WoD games both as DMs and players. over those years ive played a lot of different styles of characters so its hard to pin down something specific but for starting in funky town I think ill be playing as Grayson Bumblemuck and Carlito. most of my experience playing SS14 has been botanist and cargo so I will most likely be playing a large amount of time there before i try branching off.
Grayson is an earnest, curious botanist obsessed with peeling back the layers of plant life to create useful things for the ship. He balances meticulous lab duties with hands-on experiments, quietly enthusiastic and patient but prone to getting lost in a new specimen. Friendly and approachable, he mentors crewmates on basic botany while always keeping notes on a dozen half-finished projects.
Carlito is a pragmatic, no-nonsense cargo specialist who treats logistics like a craft—quiet, efficient, and proud of keeping the station supplied. He’s calm under pressure, blunt but fair, and fiercely protective of cargo and crew; he trusts competence over talk and prefers practical solutions. He moves with economy, keeps a worn multitool and manifest PDA on him, and has a soft spot for rookies while privately carrying a past delivery he’s trying to make right. his favorite joke that he constantly repeats in cargo is "Why did the crate get promoted? It had outstanding packing skills."
What made you join Funky Station?: I really enjoy SS14. i love the roleplay and i love how crazy some matches can get. years ago i tried to get into SS13 buttttt it just felt too rough to get into. since ive spent about 40 hours in goob and while i do enjoy it the rp feels very flat and the matches can devolve really fast.
I've heard Funky isnt quite as serious as other servers while being more RP focused than Goob so im excited to hopefully get in and try it
