Who is he?
Marwan Sami is a Male Felinid born on a forest planet and raised by an off-grid family, he became accustomed to plants and their almost mystical properties. His love for botanical life blossomed into an obsession for learning everything he could about them. His thirst for knowledge led him to leave his family and hop from planet to space station to wherever leads him on his journey.
His "pilgrimage," as he likes to call it, led him to work for all walks of life. From farmers to chemists, to even militaries, anywhere a new plant lies, he would be seen close by. During his visit to a black market plant ring, he came across a new plant he had never seen before. Unbeknownst to him, what he stumbled upon was a military-grade bioengineered Death Nettle. When presented with a new plant, he took a baseball bat to the protective case containing the Death Nettle, breaking any and all preconceived common sense in places like these. While everyone around him began fleeing the area at the mear thought of this monster of a plant being unleashed, a single needle flew off the plant, directly into his left eye. The excruciating pain left him writhing on the floor begging it to end.
He awoke to find himself hospitalized, crippled from the neck down, and still in the worst pain of his life. Months of grueling medical procedures have led him to regain control of his body, but his left eye was never recoverable and could not be replaced. He is permanently blinded in one eye and plagued with throbbing paralyzing migraines. He found that cannabis helps alleviate some of that pain, so he is often seen high off his rocker and putting that medical marijuana to use.
Despite this horrible experience, his love for plants has seemed to double. The only thing on his mind when he was hospitalized was what that plant could have possibly been. He often jokes that he would "spend 8 of his nine lives" to study that plant again.
He is currently employed at Nanotrasen, where he is trying to learn everything he can about the plants they have on board while looking for a permanent cure for his migraines.

Personality
Marwan is a very friendly guy who loves conversation. He is always willing to blabber anyone's ear off with questions and comments. Despite this, he may come off as aloof or airheaded. He is also very forgetful and often needs clarification and as a consequence, he is terrible at names, often opting for calling people "Dude" or "Bro".
He is very excited to meet everyone at the station for the limited time he is here before he leaves to continue on his pilgrimage
