Byrd the Bard was a poppet who was wished to life by a child who lost her family to war. Byrd was her most prized possession and best friend. She wished dearly for him to come to life, so (through magic) he did. They got separated and now Byrd travels the land spreading the hope of a better tomorrow through his music, all while hoping one day to be reunited with his old friend. Even in the face of sure doom and despair, Byrd stays optimistic. His friends learned this firsthand, as he often gets them involved with some bad people since Byrd sees the good in even the worst villains.
