Alright folks, hear me out.
I'll explain why these delams happened at first. When i was working with SM, i was using schemes and methods that i used on Goob (since they both have EE supermatter and SM on all maps have same piping principle. These schemes worked fine on Goob and i knew that i can handle SM burning if it'll happen. Yet, with all my knowledge about SM, it started burning and i couldn't stop fire when i tried every method i knew. (I think admin that observed me could see that).
It didn't know a little catch. Funky made a little change in SM code made in this PR. https://github.com/funky-station/funky- ... /pull/2373. When it should do good thing it leave one big problem - SM becomes unstoppable after reaching crit temperature (it devours burning gases, spit them on same tile and devours them again, increasing temperature over and over. In addition, water vapor effect on SM similar to plasma, progressively increasing it's burning). Of course, i couldn't know about this change without checking SM code or checking all changelogs.
I mentioned this change for one specific problem with SM i had - most SM delam stopping methods not work after SM reach Warning state. You still can save SM when it's just start burning with spacing and flooding it with Nitrogen. You still can save SM when it reaches Cautious state with N2O or another suppressing gas. But you can't stop SM from delaming after it reaches Warning state. I tried it multiple times on local build and nothing helped to stop it. (This is obvious engine design flaw, yet i wrote all of this not just to state that).
Anyway, there is summarizing why i should be unbanned: I experienced with this stuff now. I know how engineering mechanics work and i acknowleged with it's code. With these knowledge i sure i'll be able to prevent station-ending engineering events and teach people how now to fuck up like i did!!
