Hey, I just wanted to ask about escalation in regards to a not-uncommon scenario.

Relatively often I'm the head of a department and I've fired someone for a completely valid reason, and they refuse to follow through with it. Can I escalate up to crit if security does not respond in a reasonable timeframe (like a few minutes)?

No, but in real life people don't just go "no lol" to being fired and keep doing their job so we're kind of talking about different circumstances here.

Also there is very little one can do to say, reclaim gear that no longer legally belongs to that person without critting them, because the person can just move away and cancel the doafter. If the head of a department cannot use force to repossess their department's gear, it means they have no actual power to enforce any job terminations if Security is busy or just does not care about enforcing it.

Not to mention that escalation rules in the game are definitely more lenient than real life expectations, because the game is larger-than-life in that aspect.

Hello. Just because someone refuses them being fired and is doing their job as normal, You shouldn't be putting them into a near death state. If they started attacking people then sure, but just refusing to be fired doesnt give you a reason to almost murder. You should call security, and if security then doesnt care to enforce it, escalate it to cap/magistrate. Refusing firing isn't grounds for trying to grievously hurt someone.
