Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): I had this one chimera-esque humanoid skeleton guy named Powder I played during a D&D campaign. He was summoned by a necromancer of sorts to guard his 'dungeon of evil themes and such', but somehow he ended up living while the raiding party got to his master. Now, he had to figure things out without the knowledge of a real childhood education, or any real socialization (like the sociology term), while being ostracized for being a very visibly evil skeleton.
By the end, he ended up being a sort of sensible, level-headed grandpa type, though he was actually the youngest by technicality (and I was also the youngest player in the group, which is funny?).
This meant he'd keep the group out of 'clearly impossible to clear' dangers, but not of 'maybe we could pull this of' dangers- he was very approving of those. By the end when he was a bit wiser, he was always an important part of the 'strategizing' half of our party. The campaign never actually ended up finishing, sadly, but it was a fun run while it lasted.
I'd mention his slightly minmax class build, but... it doesn't really end up changing his personality at all, it's just something he does because he was made for it- his charm is what he actually worked for.
He was also my first time not playing a joke character and actually taking stuff seriously, which ended up being eye-opening and stuck with me for the campaigns after that.
What made you join Funky Station?: Saw replies about it on Reddit on posts asking for servers- happened to be new player weekend, so I joined and ended up enjoying the experience. The longer rounds were fun and it felt good not being shot at the end, which almost always happened in my previous server. The end of round 'not dying' helps maintain the immersion for me, I guess?
is that it? hopefully i didn't miss anything
