Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
I have quite a few, honestly, being a writer and all that. But if I were to choose one, I'd probably pick Quinn Lamont. She's the ironclad guardian of a nomadic group built from the last remnants of a former megacorp, Eve Industries. It is not quite clear what Quinn's affiliation with Eve Industries, she is definitely from the former corp, as she stands out quite heavily from the rest. Some onlookers and spies even doubt that she is human, judging by her extremely imposing build, the way she fights methodically and precisely, yet moves like a woman possessed.
Behavior-wise, Quinn is calm, extremely so, not ever seen sparing a word even to the nomads. But perhaps more than merely calm, one might describe her as impassible, emotionless. She never smiles, does not exchange pleasantries, and instead seems to be constantly intent on following whatever task she was asked to do. The guardian also seems to be ever observing her surroundings, scanning, thinking, analyzing every detail carefully, in a way that may feel a tad uncomfortable.
However, an observant eye might realise that while the guardian might look uncaring, her actions seem to tell a different story; there is an undeniable dutifulness in her penchant for protection, but there is also a certain degree of care in her actions beyond merely following orders. The kind that only one who is silently observing and analysing the needs of those under her wing may display. Perhaps she truly only acts this way because she believes it is her self-imposed duty, perhaps she simply believes that there is no need to force herself to express her emotion in the way others do. What made you join Funky Station?: I thought that the server looked pretty neat. I started playing Station 14 just a few days ago and was browsing through the various servers out there, and this one stood out, first off, because I do enjoy the Tohou theming and lo fi aesthetic, but also because the server culture here seems pretty healthy. And some of the additions made to the game are quite nice.
