Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): In SS14, I usually enjoy playing characters who are competent enough at their jobs, but are still rather silly in terms of their personality. I usually don't talk terribly much in-game, but I do still interact with others when it's needed or I am interacted with.
As an example, my character, Ardol Fizzleblast, is silly in the sense that he believes himself to be a gnome. However, he does his best to get his job done, and the gnome thing only comes up when it makes sense for it to; he's otherwise pretty normal, aside from having a lot of pride.

What made you join Funky Station?: Admittedly, the main thing that caught my eye about the server was the Atmos content, as a veteran SS13 player.

Ardol Fizzleblast, while legally a Dwarf, has always been fascinated by myths of fantasy creatures, especially Gnomes. As he grew older, he began to become convinced these myths were true, and began to see himself as more of a Gnome than a Dwarf. While it may appear strange or joking to others, he does his best to be as respectful as possible to what he sees as Gnome culture, making sure to not overstep what he believes are their "cultural boundaries."
Outside of his strange beliefs, he's worked for a long time, particularly in the research and engineering fields. Despite his oddities, he is competent at what he does. Aside from the fact that he tends to brag and tell stories, especially while drunk, as he is a lightweight, he is generally a polite man who makes sure that the people around him are appreciated. He does not dream of power or being a leader, rather preferring a more simple life, working closely with his fields of interest.
