Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Dr. Nolan Raithe is a man of the sciences. A mathematician, a scholar, a researcher, and an inventor, and my character for the Marvel Multiverse RPG (Which I hope is close enough to DND to qualify). After an experiment had gone incredibly wrong, Dr. Raithe began to experience powers that resembled the arcane, reflecting those of sorcerers past and present. However, Nolan is nothing if not a belligerent know it all, and insists that the association of his ability with this so called 'Magic' is nothing more than science that people not as smart as him come up with to explain their supernatural abilities. Nolan has a certain amount of respect towards people, up until they mention the arcane in any capacity. He enjoys showing off his vast fields of study and various inventions, and does have the desire to see the world become a better place. He's just not the most...people oriented person.
What made you join Funky Station?: I've always wanted to try a different version of SS14, as someone who's played on Wizden for a majority of the hours I've logged in the game. With the current ongoing events, this seemed like the perfect time to explore my options. RMC has a wildly different experience and gameplay, and Starlight was a bit too much of a leap in terms of familiarity, and I ended up getting overwhelmed. A friend who also plays Space Station recommended Funky as a alternative that would provide an experience close to what I'm looking for.
