Sure!
Rocket John used to be a big deal, but now he's a washed up has-been. He has 4 divorces, and no Space Grammys to show for it. He is beset on all sides by regret and alimony payments. He's just making it by playing chiptunes and other people's songs in whichever station will pay him this month. He drinks a lot between sets to try to numb the sense of mediocrity that consumes him.
He is not particularly clever or skilled in any regard, besides his ability to play most instruments. You won't find him trying to fight back against some Antagonists - he's going to be playing the music as the ship goes down, and he's going to think he was heroic for doing so.
A reporter interviewing Rocket John is probably going to try to dredge up some soundbites about his fall from grace, so he probably would not take that interview. If he did, I expect he might storm out of it when pressed on why his 3rd ex-wife was awarded his music catalogue in their divorce and why he now has to play other people's music to afford to survive.
Hope this helps!
