Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
One of my favorite D&D characters to play was Ezeran, a Rogue. He was once a witch's black cat familiar who, somehow, had free will despite being bound to a contract. He used this to eventually betray his witch and kill her, but only after discovering how to make a potion that would give him a human form.
He proceeded to become a master of subterfuge, messing with and betraying lords, and causing chaos just for the fun of it. He even managed to lead a large-scale black market operation, only to later abandon it with no warning because he got bored; all of this possible thanks to his ability to swap between human and cat form, pure charisma, and his uncanny ability to force bad luck upon others.
Funnily enough, this is all just backstory. Upon reaching the newly discovered lands the actual campaign takes place in, he finds a home with a wacky group of adventurers who can match his desire for chaos enough to keep him entertained for a good while. That, and overthrowing the corrupt government alongside them seems like a new hurdle for him to overcome.
What made you join Funky Station?: Discovered SS14 a couple of weeks ago and immediately fell in love. Been playing on frontier/wizard's den (despite all the drama >->) and spent a lot of that time learning vanilla game mechanics and as many jobs as I could, until I felt I was confident enough to move on to a server with higher standards and more scary game mechanics (looking at you, surgery).
Saw the open to all players server this weekend, and decided to give it a try. It was great! The roleplay quality is noticeably better, and engineering not being immediately invaded and broken into by 7 tiders at the start of each round was a massive relief. I will miss Xenoborgs, and all the new cults and stuff are a bit scary, but I think I'm ready to move on now!
