Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
I've been working on developing a few primary characters for the Starlight Alpha and Beta servers that I play consistently.
I began with HERMAN BEING, a quiet and introverted mail technician who, although in all regards seems to be a regular human crewmate, just has something not quite right about him. Perhaps it has something to do with his constant referencing of "human mail and human deliveries."
I also have DEE GREASER, a middle-aged janitor just trying to get through another rough shift. She's worn-out emotionally and physically drained, with little patience for the messes left behind by the crew. Occasionally, she'll take a doobie break with a friend and lose track of her mop cart somewhere around MedBay.
The last primary character I have been developing is BUCK SHOTWELLS, which is clearly ironic because he possibly has the worst aim on the entire ship. He's inexperienced, but hard-working, and willing to learn. It does seem like he might be hiding from his past or some sort of trauma, perhaps that's the reason for this obviously fake name?
I have also been having a lot of fun acting as a ChatGPT-type PAI device during observation rounds. The reliability of my results may vary depending on how my components were uploaded, but I generally act to point out the obvious while playing some great tunes on my MIDI interface. My personal favorite is playing MANIC while rushing everyone to evac.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I've been looking for a variety of servers to play on to meet a wider ranger of people, instead of just focusing on one server. While Starlight is my primary home, I also have hours on the RMC, WizDen, and Delta-V servers. The high-population of Starlight Alpha and RMC are a bit intimidating and sometimes the Starlight Beta server doesn't have quite as many people as I'm looking for, so I'm optimistic that the Funky Station servers will have the level of organized chaos that I'm looking for.
