Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Karl Raffer is a fox-like Vulpkanin hailing from a colony planet, seeking a better life and career than the one assigned to his family. He has had a tumultuous relationship with Nanotrasen, starting with their least-skilled and least legally-liable employment program, before moving in through the proper pathway. Now he is approved for technical roles, although a close eye is still kept on his competency and he is not approved for command due to being an easily-influencable person.
He has a psychologically-induced vocal stutter and is very skittish. Despite his nerves, he feels the safest when he's under surveillance and/or with at least one person he trusts.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I generally enjoy a decent amount of roleplay when playing Space Station 14, and having meaningful conversations with other characters, including character relationships (friend, foe or otherwise) spanning beyond the round (where it makes sense according to in-round events). While I have certainly found servers that allow for much deeper storylines and character interactions, these often come at the trade off of less of the SS14 chaos. Sometimes I want that chaos to exist as something to roleplay off of, and so far I have been not fully satisfied with the available MRP options that offer station gameplay of this style. I've heard great recommendations for Funky Station and so wanted to give it a try.
