Defecting as command

So this is due to an situation that happened after round end.

I was HoS and came back from being SSD for a bit due to IRL.
I came back to the evac shuttle having left and the station being in ruins.
Then a loneop in a jug suits walks up and i debate to shoot them but do not thinking it would be EORG.
After that the loneop arms the nuke and tells me to "come with" So IC i reasoned my life is worth more than saving a ruined station for NT who already left me stranded with no power or any way of longterm survival. Also going against a nukie with a jugsuit while i only have my WT on me would not go well. So I went with them.

I then got bwoinked and spoke with min: Northern_Wings about it.
Screenshot below. Im just curious and not mad at the admin for doing their job!

So finaly my question is. When is it okay for command to defect from CC valueing their live or something similar.

It's a complicated question that's hard to give a single answer to.

Generally speaking we do not want to see Command defect from CC. While non-antagonist conflict is something we want to promote, the role of command in that equation is typically on the side of CC, giving crew something to budge against.

In cases of valuing their life, command typically shouldn't fully defect. Of course if someone is holding a gun to you, you're allowed to do what they say, encouraged even, but we don't typically want to see command fully switching sides. Once the direct threat to your life has passed you should be acting in NT's/station interests.

As Northern said, the situation described here is pretty unique.
