Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
The character was simply named "Nyx", but under the rules for naming conventions, they will be called "Nyx Moonlight".
Nyx is a AFAB Mothperson, she was born in a war-ravaged planet known as "Silkerion-8" where the production of cloth was heavily monitored and developed by the Silk Barons, the leaders of their society, which ruled in a way similar to gangs. In there, she worked as a Transporter, making sure that whatever the Barons wanted moved reached destination safely; she first started with local delivery, but as she grew older and did her job nicely, she was allowed to start moving Cargo in outerspace too. In there, she understood the possibility of a life where she did not had to cower from manic overlords, in there, she could be free.
She slowly scavenged for any technological trash and scrap that could be fixed into a suitable shuttle, and smuggled drugs to get extra money on her deliveries, with this, she got to form her first ship: the Stargazer. It only allowed her to reach the Sector before it broke down, and now, she is trying to earn a living to be able to afford herself a proper new shuttle, and a proper crew.
She is a mix of both silly and smart; she has the sense for good ideas, but she lacks social awareness to be able to move people into her cause. She is direct, and has a diminished sense of empathy as a result of her hard life; however, she is not heartless, mainly just inept about understanding other people's needs. While she tries to think of herself as a resourceful moth that will always prioritize her goals over other's people's health and integrity, she will, most often than not, try to find reasonings to actually do the right thing when push comes to shove.
What made you join Funky Station?:
Well, mainly, that one of my friends recently made their whitelist application and I introduced them to SS14, and I do want to play with them and be able to participate in the community in a way that has us having things to talk about around it; basically, a common interest.
