Reason for Ban: "Lying in ahelp - claimed they stole the Captain's things because the roboticist, who was in robotics at the time, pointed them out to them"

What lead up to the ban: After the nukies died and round moved on, I noticed that the roboticist had my blunderbuss which I had salvaged earlier in the round. I said "oh thats my blunderbuss" and knocked it off their hands. After grabbing it, we began a silly little chase around the station with me running and robo trying to knock it off my hands. I went into the engi areas and the secret clown party room to escape, just goofing around with them after the nukie aftermath. About 10 minutes of chasing later, we ended up in the captains room (I had aa given by cap from earlier since nukies) and after a bit more back and forth banter, the robo saw the locked captains locker and said something like "I wonder whats in there", stopping the chase and directing the focus there. I too got curious and opened it, finding 2 captains carapaces and some other stuff. I went "ooh armor" and just grabbed it. After I got ahelped about it and realised that it actually is theft for basically no reason, I went to sec and dropped it off. And then a little after that I got banned.

Why you should be unbanned: I did not lie in ahelp and why would I even lie in a roleplay situation? Me and the person with the roboticist gear were clearly there goofing around, no matter how many times the admin claims "our logs didnt show the roboticist near the captain area at the time". And altough the stealing part isnt mentioned in the ban, I quickly realised my mistake and dropped it off at security. I do not think any of this warrants a permanent ban or any ban as a matter of fact, since I was engaging and having fun with the people around the station along with my salv team the entire round up to that point.

I will say that our admin team has found that you were not lying, and in fact, another rulebreaker in the situation was posing as a roboticist after we did some more log diving. We did not have access to a replay of the round. In that regard, we apologize, but the notion of your other behavior still stands.

That being said, even with this information the team still wanted to vote deny. HOWEVER, I am going to let you reappeal with the new ban that I am personally adjusting to your situation, as regardless of whether you lied or not, this is behavior that had previously gotten you dewhitelisted and does not show me that you have learned from past mistakes. I cannot guarentee that the team will vote to accept, but I am doing this to be as fair as I can.

Your new ban is as such:

Rule 7 Ban: You have been banned for ignoring your job in favour of running around breaking into places and causing trouble for no good reason. Breaking into the bridge repeatedly, hoarding contra you should not know due to metashield, and going around punching lights. This is a past behavior that previously got you dewhitelisted and does not show the admin team that you have learned from past mistakes.
