Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Currently I am enjoying my french arachnid cargo/QM/Service department character named "Ikkureb", I created him as a "Eh, I should try all of the species to see what I like" and it just stuck. He's sassy but knows when to reel it in to assist the crew, save coworkers and step up to save what is left.
But this personality comes with the cost of sometimes loftyness I suppose? He sometimes get blindsided by the fact that he can trust a bit too much, like "Oops, Salvage got away with a bit too much lee way to keep contra weapons they found off station."
When you find him in the service department, he will also claim to be the "Weaver of X/Y/Z" and the "Strongest of his clutch", but its an act to get a laugh out of those who come to his kitchen to order some food or while bartending. It helps create a nice atmosphere to enjoy one's company and relax for a brief moment before he waves off another drunk engineer.
What made you join Funky Station?: I used to play SS13 relgiously back in the day, mostly on the old school Goonstation MRP server. I just got back into SS14 earlier this year and I have been hopping from server to server to find a fun MRP server. After watching some Acorn videos that include funky
(And the whole like Union mechanics) I was interested in giving Funky station a shot. Also HUGE Shoutout to using a forum, makes me nostalgic of the mid 2000's.
