Reason for Ban:
Intentional Rule Breaking: Continue cuff spamming and after being explicitly told not to continue in ahelp.

What lead up to the ban:
So we need some context here. Earlier in the round I witnessed security gun down the captain in the halls. My own character also enters soft crit from a volley from the HoS shortly after the cap went down, which is understandable because after some slips they thought I stole the antique laser on the ground. My character, operating under the metashield, concluded that this was a coup. That sec now ruled the station with no oversight.

I decided to go for an escape pod instead of the shuttle. Security could no longer be trusted to not gun everyone down on the shuttle to keep the whole thing quiet. Me and a couple guys didn't have insuls, so to get past the externals locked door, we started breaking the surrounding windows to get through.

Secoff shows up and decides to break this up. Fearing for the safety of my friends, I decide to try to help out the other guys. There's a little scuffle. Disarm attempts, slips, dragging others away from cuffs, that sorta thing. I end up cuffed, the others get away, I think.

My character is now fully convinced they're dead. Security cannot be trusted. Ending up in the brig is the same as death. The secoff absolutely plays into this and explicitly threatens my life. As per rule 7 I must value my life. I have no choice other than to attempt to break the cuffs. After many, many attempts I am ahelped and told to "stop spamming uncuff." I take this to mean I should wait a little bit between attempts. I don't know what exactly they meant, but that wasn't it.

Why you should be unbanned:
I was playing a character fully convinced that death was imminent. His attempts at breaking the cuffs were impotent flailings in the face of certain death. I argue that this is good roleplay given the situation, and fully in accordance with rule 7.

Additionally the admin failed to specify what was meant by "spamming uncuff." Was it wait a little bit, was it never try to uncuff again, was it somewhere in between. I cannot follow admin instructions if they are not clear and unambiguous.

Hello. I will be handling this appeal. In a vote of 0/8/0 being accept/deny/other we have decided to deny your appeal. This is for the following reasons:

• You clearly cuff spammed, when told not to, as indicated by you spam trying to break out of them nearly off cool-down after being told. It is quite obvious that being told not to do something repeatedly, then doing it as fast as possible, would constitute cuff spamming.
• The IC context is irrelevant, as this is an OOC expectation. Spamming sounds only servers to annoy people, and prevents them from typing or using brig lockers as they have to constantly stop to punch or move your character. This is only annoying.
