Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Elaine Laitinen once dreamt of designing starships, but the positions are scarce and the student debt won't pay itself, so she's instead making her way as station engineer. She's a diligent worker who's always seeking to prove herself, often to the point of pushing herself to exhaustion. Though initially not thrilled at the prospect of risking life and limb on a daily basis, she's since found herself at home in a hardsuit, her old dream feeling more and more distant with each shift. If nothing else, it's a living.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I'm making the jump from SS13 to SS14, and looking for a server to call home. I've heard good things about Funky, and your greater focus on RP with rules 7 and 11 (and metashield) appeals to my sensibilities. for reference, on 13 I mainly played on Paradise and/or Aurora.
