Do you play music while playing ss14? If so what kind?

Mostly midis ingame, but I like listening to the audio ingame by itself. Bit of an issue processing audio when I'm trying to focus on the game itself.

Honestly, I didn't know anyone listened to music while playing ss14. I guess it makes sense. The quiet parts of the station can be a bit too quiet, but it kind of is just the um... vibe I guess. I guess if I wanted to listen to music I would play music in game with an instrument. If the character knows how to play music that is.

generally i try to find an instrument and listen to the MIDIs i have while i play but if that doesn't work i'll either turn on some youtube or listen to my giant ass playlist of vocaloid and femtanyl.

back when i was really active on 13 years ago id put on space themed video game mixes haha xD if i could find any at least.
i should do that again really, but a lot of mixes i find now are ai so...nowadays when im playing ss14 i just have rainwave's chill radio playing in wacup, but i dunno if that counts cause i kinda have it on all the time. its a really nice radio station. i cant listen to anything with lyrics when i play space or ill have a hard time keeping track of whats happening.
if things are really hectic i'll pause my music so i dont get overstimulated. i havent found a job that i lock into so hard that i gotta stop my music like other people yet. it will come to me eventually...

sometimes ill pause it if someone is playing a midi i like too but i usually just have midis muted so my music doesnt clash and hope no one brings up whats playing in game to me lol...

well... sometimes i try to but TBH i like the soundscape of ss14 enough as-is.
its too distracting for me, though i guess i dont listen to music while doing most things...

Music tends to be very distracting when it's coming from outside the game, so I kinda avoid having any outside songs, I MAY or MAY NOT have a 446 midi folder that I had to downsize due to formatting my pc and losing quite a few midis, but in general if I need music I just make it my goal to find an instrument and jam out while I do whatever I need to.

I actually make separate playlists for all my characters because I'm an absolute nutcase who barely touches grass. I only have one on youtube, that was the only one I made before I became a hardcore CD ripper, but here's that if you want it.

I usually have Spotify open in the background at a low volume. I have one big 100(ish) hour playlist that ranges from classic rock to modern break core to rap to classical, but my keyboard comes with a built-in skip button. I just spam that until I get music that works with whatever character/role I'm playing. Traitor? Jim Croce, and The Rolling Stones usually. Heretic or cult? Femtanyl, and Ultrakill songs. Just being a sleazy tider salesperson? Whatever plays, plays; Amos scavenged someone's busted IPod from a locker in maints or something lol.
