Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): At present, the character archetypes I've enjoyed playing (due to lack of experience in SS14, mostly) are more passive, low-impact roles. In essence, characters that like to try and improve the situation around them, and are usually kind in nature.
Edit: After reading some other applications to see if I was doing it right, I noticed that people actively included a character reference, so I'll add a small addendum!
- For the 80 hours I have played SS14, my character has been Mocha Kooper, a socially nervous Slime-person who began as a person of prayers, then fell from their faith, becoming a librarian in the interim as they search for a new purpose, bouncing back and forth between departments and being sufficient, but not excelling at any in particular. She still has not found a proper place to 'belong', and continually second-guesses her own choices of life path, as a result of events that led up to her loss of faith.
What made you join Funky Station?: To be honest? Recommendations! I've played around SS14 for around 80 hours now, and I felt a bit of social anxiety on the concept of joining forums or various communities, I'm quite adverse to that type of thing. But after playing along different servers without whitelists, and seeing that even the communities in those are quite kind, I thought "Fine, why not. I'll try, at the very least.", so here I am! Oh, and the thought of a longer-lasting lobby. That's also a really good reason. I like to build and make the station look nice, so a longer time to do that sounds wonderful.
