"Bigotry 2x, As paramedic, called someone a "spastic" Bigotry is a 0 tolerance on funky. You may appeal this ban on our forums"

What lead up to the ban:
Honestly, it's been a while. I remember tensions running very high through a protest against security, being called into security by someone on the emergency channel (I think it was the warden) and getting arrested. During the arrest, I remember being smacked into crit after the HOS freed me, which lead to the someone using my topicals to get me back up. A very heated argument ensued where I used the term spastic to describe the officer that beat me to crit.

Why you should be unbanned:
The issue has since been resolved with the player involved. In the days following the ban, we had a long conversation through Discord DMs where we both acknowledged the situation became more heated than it should have from either side, and they confirmed they did not hold any hard feelings over it.

I also want to clarify that at the time I made the comment, I genuinely did not understand that “spastic” was considered a slur or the severity of the term. That is not intended as an excuse for using it, only context for why it happened. Since then, I’ve educated myself on it and understand why the comment was unacceptable.

It has been around a month and a half since the incident, and I’ve taken the time to reflect on it. I’d appreciate the chance to return.

I was the security officer in question that round. Shortly after the round ended I saw that Dutch mentioned not knowing just how bad that word was and profusely apologized. A few days later after I had cooled off, I DM'd them and told them that I accepted their apology after learning that they really had no idea just how bad it was.

I hope this isnt considered peanut-posting since I was the victim in question, but I do think that they were just uninformed rather than being bigoted.
