I am quite fond of a phoenix soul sorcerer I had in a 5e campaign, coming from a family of changelings who had a treaty with some wood elves to cut specifically marked trees for high quality, artisanal, old growth wood that was supplied to much of the land. Lars "The Ignan" Treefeller hid his terrible accident and fiery awakening with a jovial demeanor, laughing, singing, doing tricks and performances. While in combat his truer demeanor showed, like the white glint of bone in a bad break. He had no defensive spells, no utility casts, and his frail health made him crumple like a paper bag; but by jove he could dish out fire damage. Adds his charisma bonus of 5 to damage, ignores resistance, and with plenty of high damage and AOE spells makes him a menace on the board if you decide to target the capable warriors and priests of the party instead of the troubadour dressed in charcoal, ash, fire, and flame.
Cirno is funky, and usually player led codebases are better than the maintainers IMO
