Bruce Cook: A brooding, goth-y half-vampire who spends his time lost in books to escape his (cliche) tragic past. Will do anything a woman tells him to do.

What made you join Funky Station?: My sister and her lizard, Kinda Very Stupid.

Yes, of course.

Bruce Cook was born to a single mother in London. Though his mom was rather poor, she made sure to spend what she could on Bruce's education, seeing as he had a very curious mind. However, when Bruce was 7, his mom contracted an illness and died a year later, leaving him to the custody of his vampiric father whom he hadn't met until that point. Despite agreeing to take Bruce in, his father was cruel to the young boy, always managing to find him in the labyrinth of the castle they stayed in. For years, Bruce's only salvation was the expansive library, and through his self-study, gained the knowledge to make his escape from his father at thirteen. He's been doing odd jobs since then.

In terms of personality, Bruce tends to be quite brooding normally. He's somewhat judgmental and sarcastic, but as he's new to the ship, he's able to put that aside to be more humble and polite as he gets used to the reigns. When he's proficient in something, he can be quite sure of himself, tending to try and explain his actions when questioned, though not to the point to put himself in danger; He wouldn't try to argue with armed officers. Mostly, he thinks he just wants to be left alone to do his job, but deep inside, he craves connection with others. If anything will get him to put aside his his cattiness, it's a woman, as becomes conscientious and considerate when dealing with the opposite sex, terrified of coming off in a negative light to them.
