Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
I've played a multitude of characters ranging from the apathetic coworker just there to do their job to the uptight paperwork perfectionist bureaucrat. In the past, I really enjoyed rping as the synthetics, as I really enjoyed sticking to my laws and obeying them with strictly unemotional resolve, even if it was to my own detriment. As things went on, I've dabbled in characters like a lawyer who did his job to ensure the law was upheld, with a sense of getting things done by the book or a helpful but mischievous mime who always hoped for a smile, or even an exhausted old janitor, just there for his next paycheck and keeping his head on. Most of the time, I try to play my characters with an NPC mentality. I'm not there to be a protag, I'm just there to ensure others have someone to interact with or use in their stories.
EDIT: I realized looking at some other whitelist applications that I probably should have picked one character and defined it. So here is an example of a character I played on Wizden in the past.
Zarto Ironfell, the Dwarf Lawyer. A hard working, but relatively fresh hire to Nanotrasen.
Short in stature, but not in his confidence, Zarto has a strong sense of law, and getting things done correctly and by the book. It is his main driving force on the job. Regardless of guilt, Zarto is the kind of dwarf who fights for the rights of those involved, not necessarily to get them free, but to ensure a just sentence and adherence to procedure. Despite his serious nature on the job, he is friendly and generally approachable. He doesn't seek out others to make enemies, and mostly avoids trouble if he can. Zarto is no coward, but would likely not be the kind of guy you'd see running toward danger when station-wide threats arise. Instead, he'd be more likely found helping others, pulling people to safety, or just helping secure a hiding spot. Overall, Zarto is a dwarf you would trust to have on your side.
What made you join Funky Station?:
Coming back to SS14 after a while and was looking at new servers to join. This one appeared fun.
