I've got some RP experinece, mainly in TTRPG campaigns or written roleplay, and I usually lean toward law/good-aligned or neutral characters. I typically like to pick a theme I want to explore more deeply and then build the character’s story around that. My most recent role was in a WoD setting, a Risen character who suffered greatly in life and, after death, tried to do everything possible to ensure their child wouldn’t have to. In a world where people of humble origins don’t have it easy.
Here, I’d like to start with a moth-person character who comes from a moth colony and also grew up in poor conditions alongside her brother. One day, he accepted an offer from a Nanotrasen rep to earn some money working on a space station. At first, it helped the family a lot, but the more shifts he was sent on, the more his personality began to change, he suffered from nightmares, was mentally breaking down, and eventually started ranting about some “higher purpose”… then, after one shift, he never came back...
That was a few years ago, and as soon as Luc had the chance, she decided to follow in his footsteps and try to find him. Her main goal is to get among salvagers so she can explore the ruins of stations and ships and search for any trace of him. She’s rather quiet, shy, and timid, since she can hardly imagine what the outside world is really like. She’s probably not the brightest one either. But in the end, the corporation takes anyone.

I’m a beginner player and this is the first server I’m applying to and want to try (to see if the game is actually for me). I’d mainly like to play on a low-pop server so I can get a grasp of the basics.
