Younger version:
A bit above average height with (mostly) well-kempt auburn hair. She has subtle dark rings under her eyes, and freckles on and around her nose. She has cross earrings and symmetrical nostril rings.
Older version:
A bit above average height with meticulously well-kempt grey hair. She has sunken eyes with dark shadows on the lower eyelids and a mostly apathetic expression. Her right cheek is subtly fuller than her left, her nose is narrow, and her teeth are unnaturally white. She smells strongly of cigarettes and slightly of bergamot. She speaks with a hoarse voice.
Background and Personality
Breanna grew up on a temperate SolGov colony founded by a group migrants from the old Earth nation of Germany. She transitioned at an early age, and became interested in medicine through the doctors she met during that process. She went through basic medical training on her homeworld, and later got a medical internship at NanoTrasen via a contact.
To cope with the stress of working as a surgeon for NanoTrasen, and being isolated on a small remote station tens of thousands of lightyears from all her family and friends, she has taken up chainsmoking, and while she does indulge in alcohol, she avoids it on the clock. She's a somewhat negative and mostly apathetic person who is more likely to sigh than scream in the face of mortal danger, but what her patients tend to find most memorable is her morbid bedside manners, which takes the form of her cracking dark jokes about their injuries. Her bedside manners are, just like her chainsmoking, a coping mechanism.
Being in denial about working for NT being the root of her declining mental health, she kept digging further in due to sunk cost, and eventually rose to the rank of Chief Medical Officer. At that point, she has had multiple limbs, as well as her teeth and lungs, replaced for various reasons, including damage from smoking and an attempt on her life by a disgruntled employee that almost succeeded.
As CMO, she has a reputation for her strictness, her profit-mindedness, and the fact that she very rarely, if ever, smiles.
