Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!): Currently playing a cleric named Magnus in a Dark Heresy campaign that has been a lot of fun. To keep it short, he grew up at the very bottom of a hive world (where all of the nasty stuff ends up) and survived in that hostile environment until a priest found and trained him. Now he finds himself shoved into the leadership position of a group consisting of feral humans and abhumans, one of which is a psyker. He still hates mutants and psykers, but has been forced to become nuanced with his hatred by virtue of being the only person the party respected. He wasn't going to let blind hatred keep him from doing the Emperor's task.
When the party threatened to tear itself apart, he used his charisma and respect to forge new bonds between them. When they discovered they had been sold out by their boss, he came up with the plan that got them into the employ of the Inquisition. When the party's spirit began to falter at the last hurdle, he led by example and pushed them forward. He'll complain, sure. But he's dependable and, deep down, he's developed a soft spot for the misfits that make up his new flock.
As for SS13/14, I normally play a lizard named Tips-The-Scales. A laid back type of guy who normally works in cargo but tends to jump from job to job when the need arises. Has a thing for hot chocolate but tries not to drink too much of it. He doesn't want to get medical mad at him again.
What made you join Funky Station?: I have a friend who plays on this server and said that I should try to join. Haven't really gelled with any of the other servers I tried, so figured why not?
