Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
One of my favorite characters that I've played was a Kenku Gunslinger named Crack (an onomatopoeia for a gunshot). Kenku can only communicate through mimicry, and when he was introduced to the game most of his lexicon was comprised of things his mentor had said to him. They had been separated, and this mentor was a gruff cowboy/bounty hunter type. Over time, he picked up words and phrases from the other player characters, and started to open up to them emotionally - it was a lot of fun to explore his emotional growth and growing independence through his language.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I've only recently started playing SS14, and I've been looking for a richer RP experience. I saw a video on Youtube (Mindbreakering Bad from ItsMaitake) that I assumed had been staged/Machinima'd, but then there were all sorts of people in the comments talking about how much fun they had had that round! I couldn't believe that was actually in-game roleplay. I looked up Funky Station, read the design principles document, and it seems right up my alley.
