If you happen to sit right next to her, in the bar, as she takes sip after sip of her Bahama mama - Nanotrasen bless the sweet flavor of this drink - you might hear Mirkeen talk a lot about her job, about how much she loves to drill into asteroids, catching every piece of ore she can find to dump them into the smelter after, and watching all the pretty minerals go red from the intense heat inside the smelter. She always smiles when she talks about rocks.
Her fascination with mining didn’t came from nowhere, as she spent her childhood in an orphanage, in a town close to a mining site. Hearing about the hard job that is mining in history classes, and learning that miners could also go in space, it became a dream for her. If she could see the stars, the rocks, and the beauty of the cosmos, it was a deal she would never miss.
Most of her days, when she wasn’t in classes, she was either deep inside miners manuals, geologic books, or cracking a geode open with her chemistry teacher, Jackob Vauban, a vox who was a former space miner. Both were passionate about rocks.
That moth-child made a promise to her teacher. She promised though their shared passion for rocks and stones that she would become the best miner in this universe.
Now an adult, Mirkeen cheerfully drills her life in space through asteroids. Everyday. Without even questioning her purpose. She knows she's made for this, and, she's proud as hell of herself.
As the time goes on, she also gained an interest into science, since she loves to get all the pretty tools from them, and also was taught a bit about bartending... Though, for the bartending, it's because she wanted to know how to make bahama mamas.
She also constructed, with the help of some friends, her very own borg. A kind and caring borg she named "Tchip-Bot" currently in version 4.13. An incident however, turned one of Tchip-Bot's iterations into a station AI. TchipOS.
Seeing the benefits of TchipOS, mostly it's tendency to constantly look everywhere, and it's reactivity, it became Nanotrasen Approved, despite it's frequent errors when using holopads.
No AI specialist could really figure out what it's error codes meant...
There is a part of her life that Mirkeen is not aware of, however.
A familly she never met, a mother dead in a crash, a caring brother that is doing everything he can to find her, but also a terrible father, syndicate agent, that is looking to corrupt her.
There is also rumours that the syndicate managed to get a sample of her DNA, and used it to create a clone of her.
With all this... It's for her best interest to remain unaware of her family.
