Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
For D&D and pathfinder I often play Morgrim, who is a streetwise dwarf fighter/rogue - he enjoys the thrill of adventure, finding loot, protecting the party and finding out what people are really worth by working with them side by side.
Morgrim is generally cheerful and energetic, especially when alcohol is available, and often talks over people. He enjoys telling stories and the buzz of a tavern. Best described as a chaotic good type, with his good intentions often undermined by a paranoid, maybe even cowardly demeanor. Morgim's loyalties lie with his clan, family, and party, in that order. Everyone else is a potential threat, who should be smooth talked, negotiated with, avoided, or shivved. Ironically, out in the dungeons and wilds, where people outside of the party are rare to come by, he feels more at peace and secure than in the middle of a town.
After being a general layabout during his early years, he was eventually forced into the mountainhome army, assigned to trap-making duties. Being generally inattentive and flippant, he did not master his craft, and eventually got in trouble when a badly installed trap accidentally killed one of the clan members. Afraid of responsibility, he's slipped out as soon as he learned the news, and signed on to the first adventuring party leaving town, just to get away from it all. Now he seeks to redeem himself, and make enough coin to buy his way back into the mountainhome's good graces, while trying to get as far away from anyone who could recognize him as possible.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I enjoyed my time during the weekend on Scarlet, and I want to give the whitelisted servers a try. Wizard and Goob are starting to feel a bit too powergamey and LRP for me. Also, I want to see what else is different about Funky's codebase.
