ERT is called way too much.
I'm saying this after I lost a Nukie Round due to an AI that didn't bother following Antiimov and an influx of ERT fighting literally two shitters, but this is coming from someone that very rarely rolls antag.
It's bad RP for every single time antags have a chance to win, ERT swarms in.
ERT also has a bad habit of metagaming because they come from dead folks who already have seen the ERT.
Most ERT immediately head towards the danger despite not knowing where it should be IC.
Ultimately by the time ERT is called, it's already going to be an evac very shortly after, so why not let the antags take the round sometimes.
Good ways for CentComm to handle:
Too much damage has happened to the station, if it gets destroyed its an insurance writeoff.
We have received NTR's request and BlueSpaced them to safety, good luck to the rest of you.
This has been deemed a small threat, so we are sending one ERT.
ERT is being provided, but due to budget cuts we cannot provide them weapons.
One ERT should be enough to handle this (its not)
ERT took a wrong turn at albuquerque and will be a little late
It's ERT's day off.
ERT is on standby for deployment, when NTR fills out this form (Will probably take 20 minutes to finish) we will deploy them.
Due to a clerical error, DeathSquad has been deployed instead.
This would be a PR nightmare so we are deploying DeathSquad so nobody squeals to the media.
If your goal as a player/admin every time is "CentComm and Station should win and as many people should survive as possible" it's not going to be a fun time.
There are a lot more dead roles that could pop in outside of ERT.
You could even stack odds against the station and antags by flooding in some spiders or slimes.
