Briefly describe the background and/or personality of a character you enjoy playing (Can be SS14, DND, or a character you just made up!):
Character:
I tend to like to play down on their luck characters, oftentimes characters that can be a little jaded or discontent, but willing to put up with others and try and connect. I kind of imagine them as the run of the mill Joe that's been through too many jobs, too many partners and just rolls their eyes at the world at large and tries to get through the day to day. I am not the hero, nor the villan, just the guy standing in the corner trying to get the hell out of dodge, occasionally helping others along the way.
As a Player:
As a player I tend to be one that likes to deescalate which can be at odds to my characters at times, but I tend to like to work with someone to make something out of a situation. I've been told that I am a bit crass with my humor and a bit blunt, but well, I am a bit shy at heart and I like to see someone else smile even if it's something silly I said.
Experience:
As for my experience? I have done dungeon mastering for my family's DND sessions as well as have a background in Starcraft 2 Cortex roleplay and acting out skits online with friends. I am an avid reader and have tried a few times writing on my own on the side, and I have about 600h in Space station across various LRP and MRP servers.
What made you join Funky Station?:
I will admit, I'm submitting this application at an odd time. Things are in flux and I don't really expect this application to be looked at for quite awhile. However, I will admit, and don't hold it against me, but I am an Acorn fan. Hearing about a MRP server that's a little more roleplay focused than most of the other ones I've been on seems to be right up my alley. I hesitated applying for this server for a long time due to a sheer feeling that the standards of play and my own inexperience with the game would hold me back and make it a difficult experience, and so I stuck to servers like Wayfarer, Wizden, Claw Command, and RMC for those 600h (I also get nervous with large numbers of players).
But with how everything has shaken down. I think it's high time I actually joined a respectable and reliable community. And I hope when the dust settles you all will be happy to welcome.
