Eleanor is a young Vulpkanin woman of below average height. Her fur is long, pure white in color and slightly darkened to an ashy gray at her limbs. Her eyes are a dark, sagely shade of green. Her tail spans half her body length, curling upwards towards her back and increasing in volume. Her hair meets her mid-back, and she either wears it in a ponytail, a high bun, or fully loose.

Physical tendencies include a generally approachable demeanor — This has shown to be both a blessing and a detriment to her wellbeing in the past. She has proven to be very nimble and quick on her feet, though noticeably lacking in combat skill.

She resembles the dog breed known as a “Samoyed”.

// BEHAVIOR AS DESCRIBED

Eleanor tries to be warm, kind, and welcoming to everyone she meets. She finds it very easy to interact with new people, and enjoys training rookies at her respective lines of work. It takes a whole lot — more than it should, perhaps — to get her to drop her friendly demeanor; you have to push her very far to see her smile fade.

Eleanor is selfless to a fault, giving up things she doesn’t have the luxury to be without; all for others’ sakes. She tries her best to provide a safe haven to everyone — especially those she cares for, though that statement encompasses a wide range of the crew. She has a lot of respect for command and security officers, and will generally obey her higher-ups without question.

She is easily excitable and tends to talk a lot, sometimes with energy overwhelming to her conversational partners – Despite not meaning to, she can be very loud. Nevertheless, a lot of people consider her easy to talk to thanks to her eagerness to chatter about practically anything that comes to mind. She displays heavy enthusiasm about her work, and is happy to be of service; in fact, it seems to be a huge boost to her mood if someone is explicitly satisfied with her performance.

These traits tend to get her in trouble at times — she is far too naive and trusting, easy to take advantage of and easy to become a target to manipulation or deception. She’s also overly curious, and may make rash decisions just for the sake of satiating it.

From a young age, Eleanor was curious about the world around her. She spent most of her earlier years outdoors, studying strange fauna or learning about interesting new herbs. Her original planet was rich in wildlife and open to plenty of exciting discovery! It was no surprise when she’d grown older and only grown more curious; curious about the cosmos, longing to see the sights that lay beyond the sky.

Her home was quaint, located in a small town situated just a scant few miles off the planet’s capitol. Eleanor’s first job was as a mail carrier, which helped her to get familiar with the area’s residents. She was rather loved in her community, and she took care to make sure to return the feeling tenfold.

When the main city launched an interstellar expedition, she tagged along to provide support — being known well by the locals, she came along as both a representative of her hometown and a source of moral support. Plus, it was a realization of one of her childhood dreams. The expedition lasted about three months and nineteen days, where Eleanor was content providing care to her fellow inhabitants. The purpose of this mission was to allow their science and research team room to grow and expand their horizons beyond what was previously possible for them on their home planet. Eleanor was not very well-versed in the fields they were studying, however she enjoyed observing them, giving them pep talks, and helping the team in more menial ways; cooking and mixing drinks, growing plants and entertaining the crew during periods of downtime; many of the same things that she provides on Nanotrasen’s stations now.

Their mission came to a screeching halt when the science team had made a critical error during anomalous research — A massive tear in space-time ripped open right at the heart of the station, ravenously grasping at everything in its reach. It was a type of wormhole; unstable, undocumented, and far out of anyone’s control. The science department had reached the peak of their current limitations — their research had borne promising new fruit at what very well may have been the cost of lives. Eleanor was left like a helpless deer in the headlights as it grew and grew larger, hungrily devouring the matter around it as it crept ever closer…

In time, she fell, along with the rest of her companions — it all happened so quickly, she barely had time to react.

➤ “It was so strange. I was so… overly… aware… of my existence. Like I was everywhere, all at once, just watchin’ the world go round. Felt like my limbs were goin’ to fly right off my body. Then, I was so far from home… and it all happened in a blink!”

In a streak of luck for Eleanor, the destination awaiting her on the other side of the wormhole was just a handful of miles off of a busy metropolis on a highly populated trade planet, where she met a Nanotrasen Representative who graciously heard out her story and offered her an employee spot. In exchange for food, water and shelter, Eleanor happily agreed to come aboard Nanotrasen’s various stations to provide her usual enthusiastic support to those around her.

Despite everything, she still keeps a bright smile on her face and optimism in her heart for the future — by travelling the galaxy under Nanotrasen’s command, Eleanor desperately hopes to locate and rescue the members of her crew that she lost that day.

Eleanor’s work records are as follows:

➤ BARTENDER
Her most-worked job on board Nanotrasen’s spacecrafts. Being accustomed to working in service, she slipped easily into the role; not only is it familiar to her, it gives her a fantastic chance to get to know her co-workers personally. She often likes to do little things to fancy up her bar, like writing menus, drawing, or decorating the place with all kinds of cute plush toys she finds.

➤ CARGO TECH
Though Eleanor is not as much a fan of hard labor, she does enjoy taking up shifts in Cargo. Her bounties are more like a minigame to her, something of a scavenger hunt or a puzzle moreso than a chore. She enjoys flying the shuttle a lot, and will get very excited when offered the opportunity to do so. “It feels important!”

➤ BOTANY
Eleanor is a fan of plant life, so she does sometimes choose to spend her time tending to the station’s herbs and greenery. Her favorite things to grow are fruits for the bartenders, and aloe and poppy for the chemists. She’s still a little scared to mess with mutations, but she’s working her way up.

➤ JANITOR
Though Eleanor has a high social battery, it does drain at times, and that’s when she picks up janitorial work. She can be a bit of a neat freak(especially when it comes to her bar), and finds cleaning to be a somewhat relaxing task. Although, she hates cleaning the maintenance tunnels — too dark, too scary.

➤ REPORTER
This one’s new for her. Eleanor loves to write, and just finds this line of work fun – not much reason or rhyme to it. She enjoys snooping around, writing stories, and being entrusted with crazy information.

*Below are NANOTRASEN’s notes on somewhat unremarkable behavioral patterns shown by Eleanor.

➤ For an unknown reason, she likes to name everything — even vermin, such as mice. This behavior is quite pointless.
➤ Her favorite drinks are a Tequila Sunrise, a B-52, or a Margarita.
➤ Attempts to compile a readable list of amicable work relations Eleanor has formed have failed due to too many returns. Eleanor considers most of her coworkers as acquaintances at worst, close friends at best.
➤ Eleanor is usually always seen wearing a colorful floral necklace. We did not provide this to her — it could be some kind of keepsake.
➤ Eleanor is not religious, however she has a strange obsession with the supernatural. She often insists on unexplainable circumstances being caused by ghostly interference.
➤ She keeps a note in her left pocket with all of her regular co-worker’s favorite drink orders written down.
➤ She hates needles, and generally has an unpleasant time when taken to medical. She usually braves it without too much complaining, though.
